Top Dollar has been a family-owned and operated business for the past 30 years. That has taught us a thing or two about what it takes to be successful in the communities where we operate. If you ask my father, he will tell you that the number one difference is our staff. Many of our employees have been with us for a decade or more. If that’s not family, I don’t know what is!
Our business is highly respected because we take time and our people take time to make a difference. I serve on the Board of Directors for the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce because I think businesses are really important to the growth of the community. I am also proud to be the President of the Prince George’s County Pawnbrokers Association and a member of the National Pawnbrokers Association. But this isn’t enough, we give back to the community directly in our stores. For example, we started the ‘Children’s Book Corner’ in all of our locations where we give the gift of reading and imagination to all the families that frequent our stores. ‘Children’s Book Corners’ have spread to other pawn shops around the nation.
Although we don’t have many openings, we are always on the look-out for good, hard working people to join the Top Dollar family of employees. You don’t have to know anything about our business to be successful here, but you do have to know what it means to take care of customers and to go the extra mile. We look for people who will go out of their way to help their fellow co-workers and who pay attention to the little things – a clean counter, a well-organized showroom, a customer’s complaints about other stores, a child crying. These are the little things that keep our customers coming back year after year. We can’t teach you to care about these things, but we can teach you how to sell goods. It’s up to you to show us that you know how to care about your job, your colleagues, and your customers.

Jewelry Sales Associate
We are looking for people with good retail sales experience. Jewelry sales a plus but not required. We offer formal training and education. We expect you to be highly motivated, work well with others and to have a great smile.
The most important trait in our pawnbrokers is great customer service. Almost every customer that comes in to make a loan is at a time in their lives where they need help and your number one job is to help them in the best way that you can.
Assistant Manager / Manager
We are looking for experienced store managers. We have a staff of twenty employees and a family of thousands that visit us every day. You must be hard working, quick on your feet, very organized and great with people.
We are looking for a high school or college student to help grow our brand. Your duties will include everything from organizing online marketing campaigns, video creation, blog posting, facebook updating, instagram picture taking, tweeting to helping the staff in any way you can. This could be a great opportunity for any student to earn a credit and have fun while doing it.
